Only Use the Best of Natural Acne Spot Treatments!
If you have oily skin then it's highly likely that you also have acne problems. The reason for this is that oily skin produces more sebum than other skin types which makes it naturally more prone to clogged pores and acne lesions.
The key to being able to deal with this problem is to establish a regular cleansing routine. Sometimes, when treating mild to moderate cases of acne (these include facial and back acne), a regular cleansing routine can be more effective than over the counter acne creams, however, if you're trying to treat more severe cases of acne, then you will need to have medical supervision.
Find out How to Cleanse Oily Skin
If you have oily skin, you can use a soapy cleanser. This does not, however, mean that you can use a soap to cleanse your face. Soaps tend to dry out your skin and are not comparable to soapy cleansers. As a matter of fact, if you use a soap and your skin becomes dry, it will break or crack and let in acne bacteria.
The ingredients you want to look for in your soapy cleanser are salicylic acid or retinol. See if you can find your soapy cleanser in a gel form. Both of these ingredients are known to help stabilize the production of sebum and prevent debris from clogging up the pores.
Despite most people thinking otherwise, you can try a natural acne remedy if you have oily skin. One of the best natural cleansers for oily skin is milk of magnesia. To use it, just rub it on your skin and rinse it off.
Toning and Exfoliating Your Skin
An effective daily cleansing routine will also require the use of a toner, however, if the cleanser you are using is good enough to clean your skin then it won't be necessary to tone your skin. If at any point you decide that using a toner is necessary, make sure that it is alcohol free.
The exfoliation of your skin is something that should not be overlooked however. On average you should exfoliate about once a week. This will depend on your age and skin condition of course. To exfoliate all you need to do is use a scrub or a product that contains salicylic acid.
A scrub is any mechanical exfoliant that you can find, while salicylic acid is a chemical exfoliant. Both types of products are a good option, but which you choose will depend on your preferences. Don't Forget to Moisturize your Skin ! even if it is Oily
Just by having oily skin should not make you forget about the importance of a moisturizer. The problem with oily skin is excess oil not excess moisture. While keeping this in mind, make sure that you find a moisturizer that is oil-free and apply it twice a day.
